A view west down into the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness from the Umatilla Rim Trail #3080 on the western shoulder of High Ridge..............July 24, 2012. Both sulphurflower buckwheat (Eriogonum umbellatum var. ellipticum), which is yellow-flowered and parsnipflower buckwheat (Eriogonum heracleoides var. heracleoides), which is cream-flowered can be seen in the foreground with a mass of creambush oceanspray (Holodiscus discolor) blooming at the forest edge downslope at left.
