[Wildflower Bloom in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon: 2022]

Wildflower Bloom in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon

Fifteenmile Creek Trail #456, Cedar Creek Trail #457 and Underhill Trail #683 from Fifteenmile Forest Camp to Underhill Forest Camp

Mount Hood National Forest

July 8, 2022

Cedar Creek Trail #457, Mount Hood National Forest......July 8, 2022.

A view north down into Fifteenmile Creek from the Cedar Creek Trail #457, Mount Hood National Forest......July 8, 2022.

Note: This is a relatively difficult route due to the number of downed trees across the 3 trees, length, steep elevation loss and gains and exposure along the eastern end of the Cedar Creek Trail where it follows a ridgetop steeply down to Fifteenmile Creek. The trail tread there has numerous spots where there are rolly rocks atop harder packed trail. In addition, the Underhill Trail from Forest Road #4421 dowhnill to Fifteenmile Creek is so lightly used that once the grasses have grown, the route can be difficult to find.
