A light violet-colored velvet lupine in bloom along the School Canyon Trail #468, Badger Creek Wilderness..........June 14, 2014. This individual is about one-quarter mile from the trailhead. It also represents the former variety tenuispicus which has smaller flowers than the other variety in the Pacific Northwest.
