Hairy Balsamroot: Balsamorhiza hookeri var. hirsuta. This species typically blooms around Memorial Day in Logan Valley.

As of late May, Logan Valley is drying up with some early season flowers still in bloom, but most are mid-spring plants. They look in better shape at the west end of the valley which is wetter, or along the several creeks which cross the valley from north to south.
