Road, Hell's Canyon National Recreation Area.........June 26, 2007. Notice that the leaflets are dissected more than 2/3 of the way in to the midstem, and that they are dark green above.

Dorsal (left) and ventral (right) leaf surfaces of fan-shaped cinquefoil as seen in the vernally moist meadows of Logan Valley to the northwest of Big Creek Campground, Malheur National Forest.........July 2, 2010. This specimen approaches var. elmeri due to its somewhat grayish upper leaves, but is not densely gray hairy to warrant it being identified as Elmer's cinquefoil.
