The flowers of this variety tend to be white or cream in color, sometimes with a small amount of purple or red in the corolla and the leaves generally are at least three times longer than wide, although it is wise to look at many of the leaves as some (as seen above) may be shorter and wider than that ratio.

What apears to be Hansen's clover as seen in Summit Prairie, Malheur National Forest.........May 28, 2014. The heads have a reddish hue reminiscent to var. multiviolatum (which could be in the area, althouth the heads are solitary per plant and leaflets appear to be more than 3 times longer than wide, suggesting var. hansenii.
