Oregon Checkermallow, Oregon Checker-mallow, Marsh Hollyhock: Sidalcea oregana var. procera (Synonym: Sidalcea oregana ssp. oregana var. procera)

Oregon checkermallow (var. procera) growing in a low spot along forest road #3521, Wenatchee National Forest..................July 26, 2009. This species grows in roadside ditches, low spots, or along the banks of streams, anyplace that sees some inundation of water earlier in the season.
