Shoreline of Rattlesnake Creek with fragrant popcornflower and other riparian plants at Panakanic..........June 17, 2013.

This area is a large vernally moist meadow surrounded by coniferous forest in the mountains south of Conboy Lake Wildlife Refuge. This particular area is privately owned, and we were fortunate to obtain permission to visit. The area is full of small roads which can be tough to navigate (become lost on) and are rough for low-slung vehicles.
