The photo above shows a close-up dorsal view of the inflorescence of meadow hawkweed (?) as seen along Rd #23 at the Mt. Adams Viewpoint at about 3760' on the southwestern corner of Mt. Adams.........September 25, 2005. Plants had numerous clusters of basal leaves, indicating this plant is colonial, spreading by runners.
