White water buttercup as seen in a shallow pond near Grayback Mt. Road in the Klickitat Wildlife Area.........April 26, 2016. The leaf divisions are all narrow.

White water buttercup (var. diffusus) observed in a vernal stream running uphill to the WSW of Dead Canyon, about 2 miles or so west of the Klickitat River......May 9, 2025. Note the numerous, thin leaflets. There are a few leafy stems of water montia (Montia chamissoi) rising out of the mass of white buttercup leaves in the image at left.
