[Wildflower Bloom in Central and Eastern Oregon: 2013]

Lake Creek Trail #378

Strawberry Mountain Wilderness

Lake Creek Trail #378, Strawberry Mt. Wilderness.......Jully 19, 2013.

A view uphill along the Lake Creek Trail #378, Strawberry Mt. Wilderness............July 19, 2013. Yes, there is a trail there at the lower left corner, extending to the center of the photo. It doesn't look like the trail has been maintained for several years as there are quite a few downed logs, many of large diameter. One can find a route around the downed logs, usually scrambling through forest uphill of the trail. Hopefully this fine trail will be cleared at sometime in the near future as there are many interesting wildflowers to be seen in the numerous streams and springs that cross the trail, plus the birding is quite good in the morning along the trail.

* indicates the wildflower is currently in bloom.
