Wildflowers blooming along the Road's End Trail #201A, Strawberry Wilderness.......July 18, 2013.

Wildflower bloom along the Roads End Trail #201A in the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness.........July 18, 2013. Piper's buckwheat (Eriogonum flavum var. piperi), Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum), yarrow (Achillea millefolium) and spurred lupine (Lupinus arbustus) are pictured in the photo. More photos are displayed at the bottom of the page.

The snow has finally cleared off the full length of the Roads End Trail #201A and along most of the Onion Creek Trail. Access to Strawberry Mountain from Strawberry Lake is also open with only a few snow patches just downhill from the junction where that trail joins the Onion Creek Trail near the southeast corner of Strawberry Mt.

The bloom along the mile length of the Roads End Trail #201A as well as the Onion Creek Trail are both nearing a peak, perhaps lasting another week or two depending on temperatures and chance of any rainfall.
