This site, accessesed from Lakeside Road at the eastern boundary of Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge provides public fishing. It consists of a gravel lane (for parking?) along the west side of Lakeside Rd at the entrance to the fishing area. One can walk along a road atop a levee on the south side of an irrigation canal, for I'm quessing quite a ways. There are are several small ponds immediately to the south of this canal which dry up late in the summer, or become shallow wetlands. Be aware that walking to far west along the levee might disturb nesting sandhill cranes and their young from early season until mid-summer.
