Common cat-tail (Typha latifolia) as seen in a pond along the
Goldendale-Glenwood Highway near the Outlet Falls, several miles east of Glenwood
WA........July 9, 2006. Although there is a gap separating the male
and female flowers as seen in the photo, this plant is well over 2 meters high
from base to top and has leaf blades that are15-20 mm wide.
