The photo above shows the fruit or "hip"
of little wild rose as seen along road #060 just west of Bunnell Butte on the
southern side of Mt. Adams..................October 14, 2005. Note that the
sepals do not persist on the mature fruit.
The photo above shows the numerous slender,
weak prickles on the stems of little wild rose. Occasionally, this species lacks
or has relatively few prickles along the stem.
