The Dalles Mt Road, and the Columbia Hills to the northeast of the Dallesport, WA.

Scorched Penstemon at right.

1. Taper-tip Onion: Allium accuminatum

2. Douglas' Onion: Allium douglasii var. nevii

3. Bicolored Harvest Lily: Brodiaea howellii A few still in bloom

4. Heart-leaf Buckwheat (both the yellow and white forms): Eriogonum compositum var. compositum In full, resplendant bloom!

5. Douglas' Buckwheat: Eriogonum douglasii var. tenue- In full bloom.

6. Tall Buckwheat: Eriogonum elatum Almost in blooom.

7. Thyme Buckwheat: Eriogonum thymoides

8. Strict Buckwheat: Eriogonum strictum var. proliferum ? Not quite in bloom. Atop crest of Columbia Hills, yet guide books say it is found only below 600'.

9. Bitterroot: Lewisia rediviva Flowers are an intense pink!

10. Franklin's Sandwort: Arenaria franklinii var. franklinii

11. White Water Buttercup: Ranunculus aquatilus var. capillaceus
