Hairy Balsamroot: Balsamorhiza hookeri var. hirsuta

Hairy Balsamroot: Balsamorhiza hookeri var. hirsuta. This species typically blooms around Memorial Day in Logan Valley.

As of the middle of July, Logan Valley is mostly dry with some late season flowers still in bloom. They look in better shape at the west end of the valley which is wetter, or along the several creeks which cross the valley from north to south.
