1. Cascade Parsley Fern: Cryptogramma cascadensis - Found in shaded, rocky areas and cliffs up to 7800' in the Devils Garden.

2. Subalpine Fir: Abies lasiocarpa var. lasiocarpa - Scattered. Mostly found below 6800'.

3. Whitebark Pine: Pinus albicaulis - Small plants found up to 8000', larger ones to about 7500'.

*5. Alpine Buckwheat / Dirty Socks: Eriogonum pyrolifolium -

*6. Sulfur-flower Buckwheat: Eriogonum umbellatum var. hausknechtii -

*8. Fleeceflower, Newberry's Knotweed: Aconogonon davisiae var. davisiae (Polygonum newberryi) -

*13. Drummond's Anemone: Anemone drummondii ssp. drummondii - Common above 7100', but past bloom except near 8000'

*14. Modest Buttercup: Ranunculus verecundus - Found occasionally in drainages at about 7900' in the Devils Garden.

*15. Cascade Rock Cress: Arabis furcata var. furcata - Only in bloom above 7400'.

16. Hoelboell's Rock Cress: Arabis hoelboellii var. pendulocarpa - Stem leaves taper gradually to the stem, not auriculate or clasping at their base. Fruits spreading to pendant, the pedicels rising to spreading, then immediately down-turned. Found on gravel, moraines and rocky cliffs from 6000-8000'.

*17. Lyall's Rock Cress: Arabis lyallii - Plants in bloom and in fruit.

18. Payson's Draba: Draba paysonii var. paysonii - Past bloom. Scapes with several leaves at the base of the inflorescence. Basal leaves with 2 hairs either forked at the base, or a hair that is branched at mid-length. Found amongst rocks on cliffs at the eastern end of the Devils Garden from 7600- 7900'.

*19. Alpine Smelowskia: Smelowskia calycina var. americana -

20. Alpine Prickly Currant, Mt. Gooseberry: Ribes montigenum - Only seen amongst rocks where the Highline Trail begins to descend steeply into meadows to the north of Goat Butte. Past bloom.

*21. Gordon's Ivesia: Ivesia gordonii -

*22. Sibbaldia: Sibbaldia procumbens - Found in the Devils Garden, although a few were seen in the flood plain of the Muddy Fork along Trail #114 (long past bloom).

*23. Low Mountain Lupine: Lupinus sellulus ssp. sellulus var. lobbii -

*24. Mt. Adams Lupine: Lupinus sericeus ssp. sericeus var. flexuosus - Many with saccate to spurred calyces. Found from timberline up to about 7300'.

*25. Club-pod Willow-herb: Epilobium clavatum - Mostly past bloom.

26. Watson's Desert Parsley: Lomatium watsonii - Found on cinder flats at about 7950'.

*27. Yellow Mt. Heather: Phyllodoce glanduliflora - Seen at base of Red Butte. Nearing end of bloom.

*28. Spreading Phlox: Phlox diffusa ssp. longistylis -

*29. Henderson's Phlox: Phlox hendersonii - Fading from bloom. Seems to bloom a week or two earlier than P. diffusa at the same altitude.

*30. Sky-pilot, Elegant Jacob's Ladder: Polemonium elegans -

*31. Low Jacob's Ladder: Polemonium pulcherrimum ssp. pulcherrimum - Often found under Pinus albicaulis up to about 7300.

*32. Silver-leaf Phacelia: Phacelia hastata var. compacta - Found occasionally above 7600' in the Devils Garden.

*33. Silky Phacelia, Alpine Phacelia: Phacelia sericea ssp. sericea - Fading out of bloom below, still blooming above 7100'.

*34. Thompson's Paintbrush: Castilleja thompsonii -

*35. Davidson's Penstemon: Penstemon davidsonii var. davidsonii - Fading from bloom.

*36. Shrubby Penstemon: Penstemon fruticosus var. fruticosus ? - At about 6500' amongst P. davidsonii var. davidsonii. Large leaves and flowers.

*37. Small-flowered Penstemon: Penstemon procerus var. tolmiei -

*38. American Alpine Speedwell: Veronica wormskjoldii -

*39. Rough Harebell, Rough Bellflower: Campanula scabrella - Common. Found in cinders and rocky slopes above 7200'

42. Woolly Pussytoes: Antennaria lanata - Going to seed.
