The photo above shows the pubescent, developing
fruits atop short pedicels of Watson's desert parsley. Photographed at t about
7950' on flats in the Devils Garden at the northeastern corner of Mt. Adams..........July
24, 2005. Note that the rays of the inflorescence are not equal in length.
The photo above shows the basal leaves of Watson's desert parsley
with their densely pubescent leaves. The scapes are leafless and tend to lie
flat against the ground. Photographed at about 7950' in the Devils Garden on
the northeastern slopes to Mt. Adams...........July 24, 2005.
The photo above shows the fruits and involucel
bracts of this desert parsley.
The photo above shows the underside of the
inflorescence. A partial view of the bracts of the involucel may be seen.
The photo above shows a close-up of the inflroescence
of Watson's desert parsley. Notice the dense covering of hairs on the stem and
immature fruits below the flowers. This was the only scape found in bloom, all
the others had developed fruits by this time.
The photo above gives an idea of how hairy
the individual leaf lobes are, as seen through a hand lens.

desert parsley at 7950' in the Devils Garden on the northeastern side of Mt.
