Babyshoe Pass: Someone recently drove their 4-wheel drive truck into the meadow and dug it up fairly badly.

TakhTakh Meadows Trail: Plants of the meadow and along the western edge of the lava flow and as well as atop the lava flow.

1. Cascade Parsley Fern: Cryptogramma cascadense - Found atop the lava flow.

2. Common Juniper: Juniperus communis var. montana - Found atop the lava flow.

3. Avalanche Lily: Erythronium montanum - Blooms in late June to July.

I haven't been at this site when the berries are fully ripe to verify that this is red elderberry rather than black elderberry, but the latter is generally found on the south and eastern parts of the mountain.
