Adams...............August 7, 2005. Note the ovate to rounded petals which narrow abruptly to the claw and the 2 yellow spots at the base of the petal blade. Also note the 10 wide, petal-like stamens.

The photo above shows a close-up of basal leaf of brook saxifrage as seen in small streams running into Hellroaring Creek in Tract D of the Yakama Nation at the southeastern corner of Mt. Adams....................July 1, 2005. The leaf blades of this species have margins that are once-toothed.
