Wildflowers Currently in Bloom in the Columbia River Gorge

This hike was part of the Western Study Weekend for the North American Rock Garden Society.
Today the weather was in the upper 30s to mid 40s in Gorge. There were intermittent sprinkles interspersed with sunshine. Fortunately the wind was very light until mid afternoon.
1. Medusa Head: Taeniatherum caput-medusae - Spent inflorescences from the previous year of this weedy grass.
* 2. Common Woodrush: Luzula multiflora ? - In bloom beneath trees near the collapsed cabin along the creek.
3. Tapertip Onion: Allium accuminatum - Leaves only.
4. Narrow-leaf Onion: Allium amplectens - Leaves only.
5. Cluster Lily, Ookow: Dichelostemma congestum -
* 6. Glacier Lily: Erythronium grandiflorum - One plant seen in bloom.
7. Chocolate Lily: Fritillaria affinis - Basal leaves.
* 8. Yellow Bells: Fritillaria pudica -
9. Panicle Death Camas: Zigadenus paniculatus - ? Basal leaves only.
10. Meadow Death Camas: Zigadenus venonosus var. venonosus - In bud.
* 11. Grass Widows: Olsynium douglasii - Not yet at its peak.
12. Elegant Rein-orchid: Piperia elegans - ? Too early to id this plant.
13. Heartleaf Buckwheat: Eriogonum compositum var. compositum -
14. Douglas' Buckwheat: Eriogonum douglasii var. tenue -

37. Yampah: Perideridia gairdneri - Basal leaves only, so this is not a positive id.
38. Poet's Shooting Star: Dodecatheon poeticum - Many plants with flower buds. Will probably be blooming by next weekend.
