Grass Widows (Olsynium douglasii var. douglasii)

Today the weather was sunny with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s in Gorge. Winds were generally light, although there were several stronger gusts.

Idaho Fescue: Festuca idahoensis

Tapertip Onion: Allium accuminatum - Leaves only.

* Grass Widows: Olsynium douglasii - Blooming all the way up to the level of the Natural Area Preserve parking lot.

Heartleaf Buckwheat: Eriogonum compositum var. compositum

Douglas' Buckwheat: Eriogonum douglasii var. tenue

Miner's Lettuce: Claytonia perfoliata

Upland Larkspur: Delphinium nuttallianum var. nuttallianum

* Obscure Buttercup, The Dalles Mt. Buttercup: Ranunculus trisectus (formerly Ranunculus reconditus).

* Spring Whitlow-grass: Draba verna var. boerhaavii

Smooth Prairie Stars: Lithophragma glabrum - Some plants with flower buds.

Spurred Lupine: Lupinus arbustus - Leaves emerging from the ground.

Small-flowered Lupine: Lupinus latifolius X sericeus (Synonym: Lupinus latifolius var. thompsonianus) - Leaves emerging from the ground.

Filaree: Erodium cicutarium

* Pungent Desert Parsley: Lomatium grayi - Beginning to bloom.

Barestem Desert Parsley: Lomatium nudicaule

* Salt and Pepper: Lomatium piperi - Numerous.

Nine-leaf Desert Parsley: Lomatium triternatum

Ball-head Waterleaf: Hydrophyllum capitatum var. thompsonii

Annual Bedstraw: Galium aparine var. echinospermum

Spearleaf Agoseris: Agoseris retrorsa

Northwestern Balsamroot: Balsamorhiza deltoidea - Some leaves emerging. Blooming further west near Doug's Beach State Park.

* Gold Stars: Crocidium multicaule - Fairly numerous.

False Agoseris: Nothocalais troximoides - In bud.
