Much of this route is between the elevations of 1800-2000'.

* 1. Sedge: Carex sp. - Fairly numerous. The species in question is always found in open forest, away from evident moist areas.

* 2. Wood Lily, Trillium: Trillium ovatum -

* 3. Red Alder: Alnus rubra -

* 4. Cascade Oregon Grape: Berberis aquifolium -

* 5. Spring Whitlow-grass: Draba verna - A few plants seen.

* 6. Western Buttercup: Ranunuculus occidentalis - Numerous in low moist spots, near the boundary with the Yakama Reservation.

* 7. Red-flowering Currant: Ribes sanguineum var. sanguineum - A few plants just beginning to bloom.

* 8. Wood's Strawberry, Mountain Strawberry: Fragaria vesca ssp. bracteata - A few plants just beginning to bloom.

* 9. Broad-petaled Strawberry: Fragaria virginiana var. platypetala - A few plants just beginning to bloom.

* 10. Bittercherry: Prunus emarginata - Fairly common, but just beginning to bloom.

* 11. Vine Maple: Acer circinatum - A few plants beginning to bloom.

* 12. Douglas Maple: Acer glabrum var. douglasii - A few plants beginning to bloom.

* 13. Big-leaved Maple: Acer macrophyllum -

14. Baker's Violet: Viola bakeri - A few plants seen in bloom.

* 15. Stream Violet: Viola glabella -

16. Redstem Ceanothus: Ceanothus sanguineus - Several plants seen with well developed flower buds, perhaps only a few weeks away from bloom?

17. Snowbrush: Ceanothus velutinus - A number of plants developing flower buds.

* 18. Pacific Dogwood: Cornus nuttallii -

19. Red-osier Dogwood: Cornus sericea var. ? - Plants not in bloom but noted here to check in a month or so for bloom.

* 20. Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary: Collinsia parviflora -

* 21. Common Dandylion: Taraxacum officinale - A few plants seen along the roadside.
