The photo above shows the upright inforescence
and sparse leaves of buck brush as seen along an east-west road along the northern
crest of the ridge separating the Dairy Creek and Cougar Creek drainages on
the southeastern flanks of Mt. Adams.........June 12, 2005. A number
of plants of this species were seen along the road from 3800'-4000'. The branches
have a reddish tinge, which is only apparent at left.
