Mountain Viewpoint:

Site is on Highway 206 at approximately MP 23.3 (less than 1 mile west of Mikkalo Rd) and is about 200 yards downhill from the viewpoint. It is on the north side of the highway and includes a cut bank and natural vegetation to the small hilltop. The view is definitely spectacular, with views of of the Cascade Mts. from Mt. Adams to the north and Mt. Jefferson to the south.

2. Milk-vetch: Astragalus species Not quite in bloom yet. Prostrate with green leaves and red stems. Plants about 1 foot in diameter.

Summit Ridge West of Condon, OR

Site is about 1/4 mile east of Richmond Road on the north side of Highway 206. It is approximately near MP 36.

*9. Gray-leaf Desert Parsley: Lomatium macrocarpum

*10. Bare-stem Desert Parsley: Lomatium nudicaule

Also seen about 1 mile west of Richmond Rd on the south side of the road was a red paintbrush (probably Castilleja hispida ?-sorry but I didn't stop!)
