Wildflower Bloom in Central Oregon

Mikkalo Road

Mikkalo Rd west of Mikkalo, OR and about 1/3-1/2 mile east of the end of the pavement.

This site is on the north side of the road, and is about a mile or so east of Hay Creek Canyon (The end of the pavement is also to the west, at a 90 degree curve with a home on the west side.). It involves a small road cut with a slight up sloped area with natural vegetation for about 200 feet and then plowed fields on its northern edge. The downhill side of the road descends about 20-30 feet in elevation to a small draw descending to the west.

*Clasping Pepperweed: Lepidium perfoliatum Found along the northern edge bordering the agricultural field.
