Rd K6000 runs west and sharply uphill from the Mt. Adams Highway to the Hellroaring Ditch and then further upwards to above 4000' in elevation near the boundaries of both the Gifford Pinchot NF and Yakama Nation.

* 1. Filbert, Hazelnut: Corylus cornuta - Male catkins observed in bloom.

* 2. Sedge: Carex species - Abundant. confined to drier, deeper soils in the open forest.

3. Taper-tip Onion: Allium accuminatum - A few plants in bud.

* 4. Rock Onion: Allium macrum - A few plants have begun to bloom.

5. Yellow Bells: Fritillaria pudica - Now past bloom.

6. Panicled Death-camas: Zigadenus paniculatus - A number of small plants with leaves visible in the open forest above this rocky meadow.

* 7. Line-leaf Montia: Montia linearis - Fading out of bloom.

* 8. Upland Larkspur: Delphinium nuttallianum -

* 9. Cascade Oregon Grape: Mahonia (Berberis) aquifolium -

* 10. Oaks Toothwort: Cardamine nuttallii var. nuttallii - Fairly abundant along the road.

* 11. Bulblet Prairie Star: Lithophragma bulbifera - Most are past bloom, one remains in bloom.

* 12. Small-flowered Prairie Star: Lithophragma parviflora - Beginning to bloom.

* 13. Northwestern Saxifrage: Saxifraga integrifolia var. -

* 14. Broad-petaled Strawberry: Fragaria virginiana var. platypetala -

15. Cinquefoil: Potentilla arguta or Potentilla glandulosa - Plants still small yet.

* 16. Baker's Violet: Viola bakeri (V. nuttallii var. bakeri) - A few small plants beginning to bloom in the open forest above the rocky meadow.

* 17. Stream Violet: Viola glabella - Several very small plants in bloom at the edge of the small stream that crosses under the road about 80 meters down the road from this rocky meadow.

18. Salt and Pepper: Lomatium gormanii - Now past bloom.

* 19. Nine-leaf Desert Parsley: Lomatium triternatum var. triternatum - A number of very small, reduced plants just beginning to bloom as the leaves emerge from the ground.

* 20. Midget Phlox: Phlox gracilis - Fairly common.

* 21. Hesperochiron: Hesperochiron pumilus - Fairly common.

* 22. Blue Scorpion-grass: Myosotis discolor - Fairly common.

* 23. Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary: Collinsia parviflora - Fairly common.

* 24. Brewer's Monkey Flower: Mimulus breweri - Several small plants now in bloom.

25. Taper-tip Penstemon: Penstemon attenuatus ? - Not in bloom yet.

* 26. Naked Broomrape: Orobanche uniflora var. purpurea - Several dozen plants in bloom.

*27. Small-flowered Tarweed: Madia minima - A few minute plants are in bloom.
