Rd K6000 runs west and sharply uphill from the Mt. Adams Highway to the Hellroaring Ditch and then further upwards to above 4000' in elevation near the boundaries of both the Gifford Pinchot NF and Yakama Nation.

* 1. Filbert, Hazelnut: Corylus cornuta - Male catkins observed in bloom.

* 2. Sedge: Carex species - Abundant. confined to drier, deeper soils in the open forest.

3. Taper-tip Onion: Allium accuminatum -

4. Rock Onion: Allium macrum - In bud.

* 5. Yellow Bells: Fritillaria pudica - One in bloom at this site.

6. Panicled Death-camas: Zigadenus paniculatus - A number of small plants with leaves visible in the open forest above this rocky meadow.

* 7. Three-leaf Lewisia: Lewisia triphylla - One plant seen in bloom.

* 8. Line-leaf Montia: Montia linearis - Beginning to bloom.

9. Upland Larkspur: Delphinium nuttallianum - Only seen in bud.

* 10. Cascade Oregon Grape: Mahonia (Berberis) aquifolium -

* 11. Oaks Toothwort: Cardamine nuttallii var. nuttallii - Fairly abundant along the road.

* 12. Bulblet Prairie Star: Lithophragma bulbifera -

13. Small-flowered Prairie Star: Lithophragma parviflora - Only basal leaves present at this time.

14. Northwestern Saxifrage: Saxifraga integrifolia var. - Not quite in bloom.

* 15. Broad-petaled Strawberry: Fragaria virginiana var. platypetala -

16. Cinquefoil: Potentilla arguta or Potentilla glandulosa - Plants still small yet.

* 17. Baker's Violet: Viola bakeri (V. nuttallii var. bakeri) - A few small plants beginning to bloom in the open forest above the rocky meadow.

* 18. Stream Violet: Viola glabella - Several very small plants in bloom at the edge of the small stream that crosses under the road about 80 meters down the road from this rocky meadow.

* 19. Salt and Pepper: Lomatium gormanii - Numerous.

* 20. Nine-leaf Desert Parsley: Lomatium triternatum var. triternatum - A number of very small, reduced plants just beginning to bloom as the leaves emerge from the ground.

* 21. Hesperochiron: Hesperochiron pumilus - Fairly common.

* 22. Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary: Collinsia parviflora - Fairly common.

23. Taper-tip Penstemon: Penstemon attenuatus - Not in bloom yet.

* 24. Naked Broomrape: Orobanche uniflora var. purpurea - Several dozen plants in bloom.
