Rd K6000 runs west and sharply uphill from the Mt. Adams Highway to the Hellroaring Ditch and then further upwards to above 4000' in elevation near the boundaries of both the Gifford Pinchot NF and Yakama Nation.

* 1. Filbert, Hazelnut: Corylus cornuta - Male catkins observed in bloom.

* 2. Sedge: Carex species - Abundant. confined to drier, deeper soils in the open forest.

3. Taper-tip Onion: Allium accuminatum - Many plants in bud.

* 4. Rock Onion: Allium macrum - A few plants have begun to bloom.

5. Panicled Death-camas: Zigadenus paniculatus - A number of small plants with leaves visible in the open forest above this rocky meadow.

6. Douglas' Knotweed: Polygonum douglasii - In bud, but not in bloom yet.

7. Kellogg's Knotweed: Polygonum polygaloides ssp. kellogii - Numerous, but not in bloom yet.

21. Mountain Navarretia: Navarretia divaricata ssp. divaricata - Numerous, but plants are small and not in bloom yet.

* 22. Midget Phlox: Phlox gracilis - Fairly common.

23. Hesperochiron: Hesperochiron pumilus - Now out of bloom.

* 24. Blue Scorpion-grass: Myosotis discolor - Fairly common.

* 25. Small-flowered Blue-eyed Mary: Collinsia parviflora - Fairly common.

* 26. Brewer's Monkey Flower: Mimulus breweri - Several small plants now in bloom.

* 27. Pulsifer's Monkeyflower, Candelabrum Monkeyflower: Mimulus pulsiferae - A few in bloom.

28. Taper-tip Penstemon: Penstemon attenuatus - Not in bloom yet.

* 29. Naked Broomrape: Orobanche uniflora var. purpurea - Several dozen plants in bloom.

*30. Small-flowred Tarweed: Madia minima - A few minute plants are in bloom.
