Information to Remember as You Write Your Planning b

Use your yellow planning sheet to aid in this process!

Materials

List materials used.

It is not necessary to list quantities of each material used.

Procedure

Your procedure should be written so someone else would be successful duplicating your experiment.

****Although you have worked with other students, this must be written in your own words and should reflect changes made during the experiment.

Diagrams can be used to illustrate certain procedures, but these should be explained briefly.

Refer to any tables which help you setup the experiment!

Identify what ingredients are in your negative control/s and when they should be tested.

Identify what ingredients and what conditions are in your positive control and when it should be tested.

List specific steps needed to accomplish each task of your procedure. (Use numbers for each step.)

Key steps involving measurements that may be done inconsistently should be explained to limit mistakes! Describe how to do these measurements!

Use "Repeat steps __ to __ " for repeat instructions.

List which numbers of your independent variable you tested. (Example: List which specific concentrations you tested.)

List the numbers of trials for each independent variable you tested. (Example: 10 trials of each concentration.)

You should do a maximum of different independent variables as well as maximize the number of trials as time allows!
