Lemon Sagewort, Michaux Mugwort, Michaux's Mugwort, Michaux's Wormwood: Artemisia michauxiana (Synonym: Artemisia vulgaris ssp. michauxiana) - This is normally a montane species found above timberline on Mt. Adams and in the upper Klickitat River drainage. Plants have however have been observed on the sand and gravel bars along the Klickitat River as far downstream as Wahkiacus, so it is possible some may be found downstream in the vicinity of Lyle, WA. This is probably the result of seeds and/or plant parts being washed downstream from higher elevations and taking hold at lower elevations.
