The area visited is atop the flatlands and on the gravel slopes above the road as it descends to the Columbia River.

* Denotes wildflowers currently in bloom.

 

1. Onion Allium species #1 (Long, tall leaves)

2. Onion Allium species #2 (Shorter, arched pair of leaves, flat in cross-section. Flower scapes short. Flowers close to blooming.)

*3. Yellow Bells: Fritillaria pudica

4. Lupine: Lupinus species (A number of plants with racemes beginning to develop, but a week or two from blooming.)

*5. Indian-parsnip: Cymopterus terebinthinus (Numerous)

*6. Biscuitroot: Lomatium macrocarpum (A few in bloom.)

*7. Showy Phlox: Phlox speciosa (Several plants beginning to bloom.)

*8. Carey's Balsamroot: Balsamorhiza careyana ? (Numerous plants just beginning to bloom.)
