Kreps Lane is very muddy and mucky at its west end as it passes through several private properties. Upon entering the wildlife refuge, the road becomes very coarsely gravelled. The gravel is large enough in diameter to cause problems for those with smaller tires (or tires with thin tread). Much of the lands surrounding Kreps Lane are currently inundated with runoff or irrigation waters. The only blooming plants were seen on refuge lands at the eastern end, under cottonwoods and then into upland meadows.
