Rd K6000 runs west and sharply uphill from the Mt. Adams Highway to the Hellroaring Ditch and then further upwards to above 4000' in elevation near the boundaries of both the Gifford Pinchot NF and Yakama Nation.

K6000 & Hellroaring Ditch: N46¾ 06.416' - W121¾ 19.556' - Elevation: 3031' - +/- 54'

Spring beauties and glacier lilies were blooming at the top of K6000 at N46 07.900' --- W121 21.883' --- Elevation: 4399' --- +/- 83'

A few small patches of snow could be found in the forest at this height, and the soil was still quite moist!
