Rosy Plectritis, Sea Blush, Shortspur Seablush: Plectritis congesta (Synonyms: Plectritis congesta ssp. congesta, Plectritis congesta ssp. nitida, Plectritis congesta var. major) - Generally found west of the Cascade Mts and occasional on their eastern slope, or further east.
Longhorn Plectritis, Longspur White Plectritis, White Plectritis: Plectritis macrocera (Synonyms: Plectritis macrocera ssp. grayi, Plectritis macrocera ssp. macrocera, Plectritis macrocera var. collina, Plectritis macrocera var. grayi, Plectritis macrocera var. macrocera, Plectritis macrocera var. macroptera, Plectritis macrocera var. mamillata) - Wildflower to 24 inches tall. Leaves opposite, ovate in shape. Flowers white, with a rounded spur or bump. Flower cluster thumb-sized atop the stem. Common east Cascades except extending westward into the Siskiyou Mts. of southwestern Oregon.
