Group Name:

Aves=bird (Warbler Family)


Habitat:

Coniferous forests on mts. Open woods of lowlands in winter.


Traits:

1. Male: Blueish-gray back with black streaks, black throat, and yellow rump, cap & side patches.

2. Female: Similar to male, but with brown back.

3. Both sexes brown above, white below in winter.

4. Both sexes with white eye ring.

5. Hunt insects from twigs & leaves of bushes and trees.
