Habitat:

Freshwater marshes, irrigated fields, lakes & ponds.

Female Widgeon.

Traits:

1. Male- a. Brown face, back, & sides. b. White forehead & green "comma" patch behind eye. c. White patch on shoulders/wing & at base of tail.

2. Female- a. Brown with gray head & neck.

3. Both sexes to 23 inches.
