Habitat:

Farms, towns, open woods, & yards.

Traits:

1) Long pointed bill.

2) Short square tail.

3) Black body with green & purple shine & many gold spots.

4) Very pesky bird. One of 3 birds not protected by law in U.S.A..

5) Originally imported to USA from England in the early 1900s.

6) Mimics other birds with its song. Can be taught to talk if tongue is "split".

7) Most common bird of USA.
