9. In the fairy tale country of Rexatopia, it is a royal decree that only women of royal blood (1st or 2nd cousins) can marry a prince or king. For that reason, the royal persons or Rexatopia have become inbred and many royals thus have or carry the recessive bleeding disease known as Hemophilia.

Using the chart at right, determine whether King Billy has hemophilia or not.

a) King Billy does not have hemophilia.

b) King Billy is heterozygous for hemophilia, so he is a carrier but does not have the disease.

c) King Billy has hemophilia. (All he needs is one X with a small "h", and he has hemophilia as there is nothing on the Y to block it.)

d) Because he is king, it is forbidden for him to get hemophilia.
