12. In the fairy tale country of Rexatopia, it is a royal decree that only women of royal blood (1st or 2nd cousins) can marry a prince or king. For that reason, the royal persons or Rexatopia have become inbred and many royals thus have or carry the recessive bleeding disease known as Hemophilia.

Using the chart at right, determine what sex child #2 is and whether they have hemophilia or not.

a) Child #2 is a son who has hemophilia.

b) Child #2 is a son with normal blood clotting. (They are XY so they are a boy, and have a H, which is normal clotting.)

c) Child #2 is a daughter with normal heterozygous blood clotting.

d) Child #2 is a daughter who has hemophilia.
