Liverworts

A cluster of liverworts seen amongst the carpet-like leaves of mosses. The liverworts look like green tongues, or like green lizard skin in this photo. The flat, rounded structures on stalks above the liverworts are the reproductive, spore-producing structures of the liverwort.
