#11. Benedict's reagent is used to indicate the presence of simple sugars in a substance by turning from blue to green, yellow, red or orange when heated.

During an experiment, Benedict's reagent is dropped into milk with the resulting solution staying blue when heated.

According to this test, milk does not contain simple sugar because if it did, it would change from blue to yellow, red or orange.
