#10. Benedict's reagent is used to indicate the presence of simple sugars in a substance by turning from blue to green, yellow, red or orange when heated.

During an experiment, Benedict's reagent is dropped into milk with the resulting solution staying blue when heated.

This test is an example of a test of an experimental variable. We are trying to see if milk contains simple sugar or not!
