[First Review of Enzyme Reactions]

6. Why does enzyme reaction rate increase as the substrate concentration increases?

A) As the substrate concentration increases, the enzymes move faster so there is a greater chance a reaction will occur.

B) With a greater chance of finding food, the enzymes swim faster after the substrate so reactions can thus occur faster.

C) As the concentration of substrate increases, there is a greater chance the substrate & enzyme will collide and cause a reaction.
