31. Allosteric inhibition is a type of
noncompetitive inhibition where in a molecule (often a final product) is able
to bind to a site away from the active site on the enzyme. This allosteric binding
then modifies the shape of the active site so that the substrate will no longer
fit there and the enzyme no longer is able to catalyze that reaction.
