Condensation Reactions (Building of larger molecules) add energy to organic molecules. All polymer (larger) forms of organic molecules are built using this reaction!

Hydrolysis Reactions (those that tear apart molecules) release energy from the molecules. All large organic molecules are broken into their smaller subunits via this reaction! (Digestion!)


Example: Amino Acids bond via condensation reactions to form larger proteins.
