Information to Remember as You Write Your Planning b
Use your yellow planning sheet to aid in this process!
List materials used.
It is not necessary to list quantities of each material used.
Your procedure should be written so someone else would be successful duplicating your experiment.
****Although you have worked with other students, this must be written in your own words and should reflect changes made during the experiment.
Diagrams can be used to illustrate certain procedures, but these should be explained briefly.
Refer to any tables which help you setup the experiment.
List specific steps needed to accomplish each task of your procedure. (Use numbers for each step.)
Key steps involving measurements that may be done inconsistently should be explained to limit mistakes.
If you decided to make any changes during the experiment, these should be added to your procedure.
If you weren't sure about how to accomplish some task during the lab, that is something you may want to describe more fully (and to discuss as part of the lab analysis in the conclusion.)>
Use "Repeat steps __ to __ " for repeat instructions.
List which numbers of your independent variable you tested (which concentrations were you testing, or which drinks?).
List the numbers of trials for each independent variable you tested.
