Self-heal, Heal-all, Native Heal All: Prunella vulgaris var. lanceolata (Synonym: Prunella vulgaris ssp. lanceolata) - Native species. Wildflower to 16 inches tall. Flowers with 5 fused petals opening to two lips (shape is somewhat reminiscent of a sock puppet). Flowers rose to purple clustered at tops of square stems. Lanceolate leaves are opposite. Leaves of mid-stem are about 3 times longer than their width.

Self Heal, Self-heal, Heal All, Heal-all: Prunella vulgaris var. vulgaris (Synonyms: Prunella vulgaris var. calvescens, Prunella vulgaris ssp. vulgaris, Prunella vulgaris var. hispida) - Introduced species. Leaves of mid-stem are about 2 times longer than their width.
