These 2 photos show close-ups of the flowers of narrowleaf blue-eyed Mary as seen along Coyote Creek Road to the north of Grants Pass, OR.........June 25, 2005. This species differs from the similar Rattan's blue-eyed Mary (Collinsia rattanii) in that its corolla tends to be longer than 8-12 mm with the corolla more than twice as long as the calyx. In addition, the corolla tube is strongly bent to the side from the axis of the calyx with a prominent pouch. Rattan's blue-eyed Mary tends to measure less than 8 mm in length, is less than twice the length of the calyx, with the tube barely angled from the axis of the calyx.
